Open-source software
Hamduk Chess is built with the help of open-source software and open data. Thank you to everyone who makes them.
- Stockfish, the chess engine behind our bots, analysis and game review, runs in your browser as a separate program through stockfish.js (version 10.0.2), unmodified. It is free software under the GNU General Public License v3. Its complete source code is available at github.com/lichess-org/stockfish.js (the exact version we use) and github.com/official-stockfish/Stockfish.
- Our Android app runs Stockfish 11, unmodified, as a separate program on your phone for its offline bots, under the same GNU General Public License v3. The complete source code of that version and the script we build it with: source (tar.gz) and build script.
- Puzzles and opening names come from the Lichess puzzle database and lichess-org/chess-openings, both released into the public domain (CC0). Endgame tablebase and masters opening data are provided by Lichess's public services.
- Chess pieces by Colin M.L. Burnett, via react-chessboard (MIT).
